Bowlers celebrate year-end in oriental style

Members of the Bungalows Bowling Club had a lot of fun dressing up as Chinese characters for their year end function on November 20.

For some end-of-year fun, the members of the Bungalows Bowling Club dressed according to a Chinese theme for their prize-giving event.

Di Sheehy and Ada Skea were two of the best dressed people at the event, looking great as a purple belt karateka and Chinese lady with fan and parasol.

A three course meal was rounded off with fortune cookies and accompanied by lots of fun and laughter.

The club concluded the year’s activities with a prize-giving ceremony, where club president Darryl Cross handed out awards to some of the star performers.

Top awards were:

Most improved bowler of the year: Marion Robertson

Singles lady champion: Marlet Ireland

Singles men champion: Darryl Cross

Ladies pairs winners: Marlet Ireland and Christie Cross

Mens pairs winner: Andy McQueen and Jorgen Runesson

Although competitions and fun days have come to an end, players still keep their skills sharp with social games amongst each other.
