Gymnasts show off for family at prize-giving ceremony
Gymnasts tumbled, cartwheeled and balanced to applause from parents during the Hazyview Gymnastics Club's year-end function last Tuesday.
The prize-giving ceremony started with a demonstration of the different levels’ skills and teacher Lynn Wallace also wowed with some impressive moves.
Trophies, certificates and medals were then handed out to gymnasts who had successfully completed the year or had some great achievements.
Azme Chilloane scooped most of the awards as best beam and floor gymnast, best girl gymnast, club champion and best level. Mia Vos was Chosen as best bar gymnast and Claudia Wallace as best vault gymnast. David Dorfling was best boy gymnast, while Lixi Price was the most dedicated girl, Keira Knight the most improved gymnast and Tiffany Marshall the most promising gymnast. Leanri Maartens was the best level-one, Hope Faye the best level-two and Seany Dorfling the best level-six gymnast.
