Year’s best rugby players rewarded

Trophies were polished to perfection and handed over to proud achievers during the Hazyview Rugby Club’s annual prize-giving at Ons Plek on November 20.

Rugby players, wives, coaches and supporters of the Hazyview Rugby Club were rewarded and thanked for their hard work throughout the season at the club’s year-end function.

Coach Manie van Wyk will continue his relationship with the club next year and has great confidence in the players. He thanked Corrie and Altie Taljaard for their great organisational skills and efforts in running the club.

Current club captain Hansie Grobler inspired the players by giving a few tips on how to stay fit and told them that he’d like to see all of them again in 2016. He expressed the hope that the club’s numbers will increase in the coming year.

The year’s top awards and winners were:

Best player of the year: Hansie Grobler
