Riders take in lots of awards

It was time to pack away the riding gear and leave the horses at home when members of the Lowveld Equestrian Club got together to celebrate a great year, and their common passion, the horse.

Beautiful trophies and certificates were handed out to riders who excelled in their specific disciplines and grades. The Nelia van den Heever Memorial Trophy was handed to Amy Sutton, a fellow horsewoman bravely fighting cancer at the moment. Hennie Groenewald earned the most points in all disciplines on Lezar Solero.

These two also received the trophy for adult show horse of the year. The best picture of the year went to Anita Vosloo capturing Jandalise Venter’s Big Buck at the dressage championships.
