Zama and Benji are their school’s best

Nelspruit Primary's Benji Richardson has been an exceptional athlete throughout his primary career.

The 13-year-old was presented with the sportsman of the year trophy at Primary’s honours evening. It was his fourth year to get Mpumalanga colours in athletics.

Benji received yet another trophy for his achievements on the tennis courts as best senior tennis player.

Zama Makhuba was not only presented the sportswoman of the year trophy, but also walked away as the best academic achiever in maths, natural science, social science, life orientation and creative arts.

She represented Mpumalanga in hockey and was called to the stage to collect her trophy for senior hockey player of the year.

Junior Mondlane also walked away with two awards as best soccer and rugby player of the year.
