White River to take on Middelburg in home semi-final

Here's what you need to know about this weekend's clash at White River Rugby Club.

White River Rugby Club will play in the semi-finals of the MRU Premier Rugby League.

They are currently third on the log.

Which team they face in the semis and if it will be a home or away match, depend on the result of the match between them and Middelburg tomorrow.

Should White River win at home and earn a bonus point, they will, like Nelspruit, have 25 log points. These teams will then face off in a semi-final in White River because they will have a bigger points difference.

Should they win without a bonus point, they will travel to Nelspruit

Should Middelburg win and score a bonus point, and White River not get a bonus point from the game, these two teams will both end on 20 log points. If the Middelburg win is by more than 28 points they will face Nelspruit in Nelspruit and White River will travel to Secunda to play Sasol.

If they win by 27 points or less, White River will travel to Nelspruit, and Middelburg to Sasol.

If White River lose but secure a bonus point they will play a semi away against Nelspruit.

The semi-finals will be played on Saturday July 15 and the final a week later.
