Action heats up as teams make it to Selati Cup’s Last 32

The competition between the remaining teams in the Selati Cup ensure that fans are treated to spectacular soccer.

Teams were lauded for their good conduct although several players were sent off the field for various missteps.

Former Orlando Pirates left back player, Lucas Thwala (36) was sent off the field after two yellow cards when Jeppes Saints faced Mbangwane Dribbling Wizard at KaMaqhekeza Stadium on Sunday.

It was the last match of the day and late in the second half, Thwala scored the first goal.

Wizard finally got a chance to equalise with a penalty, taking advantage of the opposition being a man down.

Because of their speed, pace and determination to get into the next round, Jeppes Saints scored their second goal for a winning score of 2-1.

Sboniso Malibe and Thokoza Nkosi fight for the ball.

The pitch was opened at 09:00 by Masibekela Young Heroes vs Schulzendal Eleven Experience. It was a fascinating game with a half-time tie of two goals each.

The powerful side-line player Khumalo “Bhasera” Nkosinathi helped his team to score two goals before getting a red card for a move resulting in player injury.

Schulzendal ended up moving to the next round for a winning score of 5-2.
