Folavio does it again!
LowMed's Folavio Sehohle not only defended his Selati Marathon title on Saturday, but he also qualified for the upcoming South African Championships.

Sehohle, who had to withdraw from the Sudwala Screaming Monster two weeks ago due to an injury, promised this Lowvelder journalist that he would be back to take the win once again.
His time of one hour seven minutes and 46 seconds was enough to secure him a spot for the SA champs – which take place in July.
“I promised that I would run my heart out and so I had to perform. I had a good race and I managed to break away from the group about eight kilometres into the race.”
Sehohle who claimed the title in 2015, took the gold medal ahead of teammate, Abednico Mashaba (Born 2 Win) who came second with a time of 1:09,11. Nedbank’s Ntuthuko Maseko who won his third straight title at the Sudwala Screaming Monster, placed third just seconds behind Mashaba in 1:09,35.
As what was expected, youngster of Sincobile Senior Secondary in Tonga, Nomvula Sithole was the first female u/19 and under runner to cross the 21-kilometre finish line in 1:35,57. Earlier this year during the 32nd Forever Resorts Loskop Marathon, she was the first junior and overall winner to take the title.
The Selati Marathon female runner of the year crown, however, belongs to Nedbank’s Winile Mnisi who completed the route in 1:28,58.
The 800-metre bronze medalist 2016, William Mothosola might have been absent from the running scene but he made a huge comeback on Saturday, taking the win in the 10-kilometre route with a time of 31:33. He was followed by Samuel Mathabatha (31,35) and Sikhumbuzo Sihlomgonyane of Swazi Slojos in 31,47.

Thandeka Masinga dominated the 10-kilometre flat route, placing first in 36,13 and Nelspruit Marathon’s Club Thandi Motloung in 41,10. Nombulelo Tshabalala (Eskom) rounded off the podium in 44,38.
