Congrats on a phenomenal year, riders!

Come rain or shine, the equestrian season ended in spectacular fashion at Nottinghill Equestrian Estate this weekend.

It was the culmination of the Mpumalanga Show Jumping Championships and the last of the graded shows for 2018, which also incorporated the annual honours evening – this year the event combined provincial show jumping, dressage and Lowveld Equestrian Club awards.

The two days saw riders like Fling and Hanelize Kamffer, Natasha and Krya Whyte and Debbie Turner, to mention a few, strut their stuff on the course designed by Brett Webber.

Among the pony riders, Di Handri de Kock on Mowbhe took the spoils with Michelle Groenewald on Caramello hot on her heels. In the adult division (90 centimetre) Pippa Moolman on Phoenix Kwaito reigned supreme, followed by Fling on Rockys Mc Hardy. Fling was also the winner in the 1,20 metre adult division, on White Waters Onyx at Last, and on Tidal Flo, she took second place in this division.

In the junior 1,30-metre division, she also reigned supreme on Brandenburg Come to the Show and took second place on Shadow Fly. Her winning streak continued in the 1,20 adult division, when she took the spoils on White Waters on Time.

It comes as no surprise that she also took the title as Junior & Adult Victor Ludorum (1,30/1,35) on Shadow Fly. She also added the Anne Reniers Trophy to her collection for the best Lowveld Adult Showjumper.
