White River Shooting Club has what it takes

White River Shooting Club, a club that has been in existence since 1969, hosted the 16th Interprovincial IPSC (International Practical Shooting Confederation) handgun match between Mpumalanga and Limpopo on Saturday.

The IPSC was well attended with 71 shooters who entered and shot the seven-stage match consisting of 163 rounds of ammunition.
Shooters sent a minimum of 11 573 rounds down the range during the event.
The first interprovincial took place in 2004, and ever since, Mpumalanga Practical Pistol Association managed to win 10 competitions. The Mpumalanga team were victorious, 1 961 points ahead of Limpopo, finishing on 10 054. The different classifications of shooters consisted of ladies, juniors, general, senior (50 – 59 years) as well as super senior (60+).

We are situated in White River behind the White River Rugby Club and club shoots are held every first Saturday of the month,” Botha said.
