Pumas in demolition mode against Bulldogs at Mbombela Stadium
The Pumas scored 16 tries to the Bulldogs' one.
The Airlink Pumas ran riot against the Border Bulldogs, winning the SA Cup match at Mbombela Stadium 110-7 on Friday night, April 4.
The home team made the most of the clash with the winless, bottom-of-the-log Bulldogs to earn five log points and improve their points differential. They remain second to the Suzuki Griquas on the log table. Both teams are undefeated in the 2025 SA Cup.
The Pumas dominated every aspect of the match for 80 minutes and scored 16 tries while only conceding one.

The Border boys were simply not in the game and were outclassed by the speed and precision of the Pumas. The Pumas had almost all the possession and knew what to do with it.
They averaged a try every five minutes in a challenge to score 100+ points. The home side did not disappoint.
Fullback Tino Swanepoel led the try feast with four, while loose forwards André Fouche and Marvelous Mashimbyi each scored twice. Danrich Visagie was in superb form with his boot, converting 15 of the 16 tries, one of which he scored himself, for a personal tally of 35 points.
The Airlink Pumas will play against the Leopards at Olën Park in Potchefstroom at 15:00 on Saturday, April 12.
The Leopards are ninth on the log with one win from five matches. Expect another big win for the Pumas.
The Pumas last three matches, however, are going to be a much tougher challenge. They face the Griquas (home), the Boland Kavaliers (away) and the Novavit Griffons (away), all presently in the top five on the log, in the run-up to the semi-finals of the SA Cup.
