Hoërskool Bergvlam’s first team defeated Curro Nelspruit’s in the final round of the Ehlanzeni Medium Schools Rugby League on Friday, June 6.

The derby was played at Bergvlam with the host school winning all five matches

The Vlammies’ firsts scored two tries, a conversion and a penalty goal to win the match 15-0.

Despite the loss, Curro’s first team finished first on the log and qualified for the semi-finals of the medium schools’ league.

Bergvlam have qualified for the quarter-finals of Mpumalanga medium schools section 3.

Bergvlam’s second, U16, U15 and U14 teams all qualified for the semi-finals.

Curro’s 2nd, U15 and U14 teams have booked themselves places in the quarter-finals.
