Tickets for interhigh are now available
Tickets for the 68th Mediclinic Lowveld Interhigh athletics meeting are now available at participating schools. Hoërskool Barberton (BHS) will host this spectacular event on February 18.
The tickets are available from all seven schools which will participate: BHS, Lowveld High School, Bergvlam, Penryn College, Lydenburg, Nelspruit, and Rob Ferreira.
About 3 000 pupils, 1 065 athletes, and 1 802 spectators will be in attendance at this prestigious event. Spectators are advised to buy a ticket in advance to prevent long queues on the day of the event.
“If you have a ticket, there will be a route you use and it will be much easier because you won’t have to queue. We will have a route for those who still have to buy. We will provide all the different routes before the event on social media,” said Lynette de la Rey of BHS.
The tickets sell for R50 a chair.
“A parking ticket is R20. We want to urge everyone to also buy tickets for parking and refreshments before the event. We will have a variety of stalls,” said De la Rey.

The cheerleaders have been chosen and they are currently getting ready for the big day.
BHS’ Trudy Ndwandwe, Lifa Nkosi, Lindelwa Mathebula, Lucinda Joubert, Yanga Tenza, Sihle Mkhawane, Lindelwa Siyenga and Sanele Mahlalela will be responsible for uplifting the spirit of the spectators and participants.
Alterations and additions to Barberton’s current facilities such as a new scoreboard sponsored by Barberton Ford, additional advertising space, a Mica Rugby Clubhouse, new dressing rooms and toilets, and a veranda in front of the clubhouse have been added.
