Penryn Prep sets 23 inter-house records
The long jump pits were barely long enough, and the high jump bar could not be set high enough. A total of 23 records were broken at Penryn Preparatory's inter-house athletics meeting.

The field events took place on Friday. A day the entire school looks forward to as a major event on the sporting calendar, the Penryn Olympics, was held the following day.
“A strong gust was felt by the spectators every time the athletes raced past. The pupils were all eager and ready to go, whether it was to participate in a race or even just to cheer their house on. Everyone gave their all. A huge congratulations to all the athletes and even more so for the 23 records that were broken,” said Mr Matt Reed of Penryn Prep.
At the end of the day, it was Osprey’s Qhawe Mkhatshwa that not only received the trophy for best individual performance of the day, but was also presented with the senior victor ludorum trophy.
Osprey’s Luke Barnard and Emma Steytler also did their house proud after walking away with the junior victor and senior victrix ludorum trophy.
