For Chris Bezarmanis and his wife Sandra the Jatra building at the end of Van Wijk Street always reminded them of the Mediterranean. The tall building with its blue-and-white awnings stood out in the lush tree-filled green hillside of Steiltes, and even now, after a recent revamp and change of colour scheme, it still stands tall, while housing the hottest new restaurant in town.
