The struggle stalwart, Andrew Mlangeni, is reported saying all the corrupt elements in the ANC must not appear on its election lists. Granted, but what he may not be aware of, is the fact that he is now dealing with a new crop of ANC, who is interested in self-enrichment, at the expense of the masses.

Let me pose a rhetorical question in this regard. Who in the ANC is not blemished? Now, if almost all of them are blemished or tainted, who will then bell the cat? Should the top leadership of the party attempt to remove the so-called “corrupt” members from the list, they are sure to meet a strong resistance. There is a strong culture in the present ANC, of licking someone’s borts. Failure to do this will cause you to be purged. The entire ANC leadership must be overhauled. And whoever will be engaged in this process must be prepared to meet the strongest criticism and resistance. In conclusion, ANC will go into the elections, still including members who are tainted, as long as they are politically right. And this country will go to the dogs. Most of them have a murky past.
