Championship Boerewors provincial finalists will be bringing the ‘braai’ tomorrow
Provincial final promises to be a fun-filled event.

MBOMBELA – Mpumalanga’s top boerewors recipes of 2014 will compete at Shoprite Nelspruit from 10:00 tomorrow.
More than 1 000 contestants have entered this year’s competition, leaving only 79 provincial finalists standing countrywide. All of them will compete tomorrow, hoping to be one of the 10 who will proceed to Sun City in October in a final effort to win the coveted national title.
Every contestant will bring his or her boerewors entered into the competition to the bring-and-braai event, which will take place from 10:00.
There will be entertainment for visitors as well as children’s areas with jumping castles and face painting.
The finalists’ boerewors will be judged by experts of the South African Chefs Association (Saca). The 2014 Shoprite Checkers Championship Boerewors will carry the Saca stamp of approval, which will attest to the quality of its ingredients. The winning recipe boerewors will be available on the shelves of Checkers, Checkers Hyper and Shoprite stores countrywide from October 10.
The winner of the provincial round will receive a R2 000 Checkers or Shoprite meat voucher as well as gift hampers from Coca-Cola, All Gold and Simba.
The provincial winner can also look forward to an exciting weekend at Sun City, where the final of the national competition will take place on October 4.
This year’s Shoprite Checkers Boerewors champion will win a brand-new Toyota Hilux 2.7 Double Cab Raised Body Raider.
