MBOMBELA – Enjoy the festive season with a comedy night out with the Tell Them! Comedy Tour. The show series started in November, featuring actors and comedians Eugene Khoza, Simmi Areff, Lazola Gola, who are now heading to the Emntoweni Arena on Wednesday, December 16.
The two hour high energy show is set to showcase the talents of these great comics coming together on stage for the very first time.
After opening for Riaad Moosa around the country, Areff did his own successful sell-out one man show. He was featured in Forbes magazine in a three page spread about his comedic talents and most importantly, his gorgeous looks that he is also well known for. He has shared the stage with almost every major comedian in the country.
Cape Town born Gola, has taken Johannesburg by storm with his unique views on everyday life. He has been the opening act for some of South Africa’s top comedians such as Trevor Noah, Kagiso Lediga, Eugene Khoza, David Kibuuka, Stuart Taylor and his brother Loyiso Gola. Gola has become a regular on the Johannesburg comedy scene, regularly performing at Gold Reef City, Montecasino, and the State Theatre in Pretoria, amongst others. He appeared on Comedy Central Live At Parkers, which is currently being aired on Comedy Central Africa. He was also a writer and actor on the eTV/eNCA hit satirical news show Late Nite News With Loyiso Gola.
Khoza is not only a comedian but also a radio and television presenter, actor, and corporate MC. He entered the scene first when he was selected to co-host the SABC 1 sports magazine show Countdown with Fezile Makhanya and Lebo Motsoeli in the lead-up to the Soccer World Cup in 2010. He later started performing around the country including the Pretoria Comedy Festival, the Just Because Comedy Festival, Blacks Only, and the Heavyweight Comedy Jam. Since then his own shows, including Khoza-Cann, Even Me, Pardon Me and Never Ready were all sell outs.
“This comedy selection is one that we are proud to be offering as part of our entertainment for our visitors. Get your tickets now at Computicket from R130 to R160 and enjoy an evening of hysterical laughter and extraordinary local talent,” says Nicolette Botha Marketing Manager for Emnotweni.
