Re Basadi Market Day for the youth a success

BURGERSFORT – This past Saturday business was booming as local youth gathered at the Burgersfort Lapa to explore business opportunities during the
Re Basadi (We are Women) Market Day.This initiative was the brainchild of Tebatso Molapo. She organised a platform whereby women could gather at a designated area, sell their products and share conversation.
This weekend Molapo and her Re Basadi team invited locals to sell their products at the lapa. The products included food, clothes, jewellery, refreshments and art.Local artists performed.
“In order to give back to the needy the attendees also donated more than 200 packs of sanitary towels that will be donated to local needy schools,” Molapo said.
The organisers encouraged entrepreneurs to attend their events and are planning another one where people can once again come and sell their products.
