As part of the Duo Electric tour, Dan Patlansky, on his electric guitar, was joined by keyboard player Dean Barrett for a thrilling performance at The Pub on Friday.

This SAMA winner is touring the country with the brand-new set, which sees him strumming his electric guitar alongside a keyboard player in intimate settings for the first time.

Patlansky needs little introduction. He won a SAMA award for best rock album in 2019 for Perfection Kills, his latest studio offering.

He was voted the ninth best blues guitarist in the world by Total Guitar & Musicradar in December 2018, and Perfection Kills,was voted the second best blues rock album in 2018 by Blues Rock Review USA. He is also the producer of local muso Jonathan Peyper.

To The Pub audience’s excitement, they opened the show with “Heart of Stone”.

A moving number was “Medicine Girl”, a song inspired by a documentary about a young woman who was been closely followed by television show producers. She ended up passing away which inspired him to write the song.
