Local author releases Sepedi poetry book

His peers and teachers echoed that he had excelled in Sepedi compositions and was one of the best readers in his class.

BURGERSFORT – Local author, Jackson Radzilani, is determined to preserve the Sepedi dialect.
He writes flawless Sepedi poems and short stories and wants locals to continue reading and writing in this language.

His love for reading and writing was nurtured during his high schools days at Makopole Secondary School in Steelpoort.

His peers and teachers echoed that he had excelled in Sepedi compositions and was one of the best readers in his class.

It comes as no surprise that the 35-year-old from Ga-Mampuru has recently authored a book titled Ke nnete (It’s the truth).

The book was released in October and locals have fallen in love with it. It is also doing well on the book market.

“The style of writing and language I used is easily understandable for everyone.
” There are still idioms, but people will easily grasp the message in the poems. Ke nnete has more than 15 collections of short poems.”

In an interview with Steelburger/Lydenburg News on Monday, Radzilani confirmed that his book was published by a company called Read It Publishing.

“The editing was done by Jack Chokwe and the cover was designed by Alice Mboweni. I am happy with the job done by the two professionals. The book is now a success.”
Locals who wish to buy the book may contact Radzilani on 079-946-8305 or visit Khadima Complex, Shop 41, in Burgersfort.
The book costs R150 per copy.
