Schools benefit from local organisations

“We also guided them and advised them on proper career choices and on making best decisions in life.”

BURGERSFORT – Two local schools benefited from a sanitary towels giveaway by CEET on Friday.

Mafemane Primary School in Ga-Manoke and Mecklenburg’s Moroke Primary School received an avalanche of sanitary towels from former Miss Limpopo, Sheila Mmutle, who partnered with local organisations CEET UNLTD and Friends of CEET.

Mmutle said they wished to change the lives of locals for the better.

“The lack of provision and accessibility of sanitary towels can result in many missing out on school. Most kids struggle to buy the female hygiene products, that is the reason we chose to assist.

“There are kids who struggle to access the sanitary towels in the deep villages. Some bunk classes as they cannot afford this need. We ensured the sanitary towels will be enough for the girls at both schools. This will last them for the whole of 2021.”

On the day, the good Samaritans not only donated sanitary pads, the kids also received deodorants and toothpastes.

“We also guided them and advised them on proper career choices and on making best decisions in life.”

The management at both schools thanked the organisations for choosing their schools for the handover.
