Mayor donates wheelchair and food
Bahula decided to spent the day with the Tolo family and also donated food parcels.
SEKHUKHUNE – The days of Adam Tolo crawling around his yard are over. This man of Ga-Mogashoa with
disability was gifted a wheelchair by the Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality (MLM) mayor, Minah Bahula, on Good Friday.

“It was disheartening to see and learn of his struggling situation. I was very disturbed. The ANC-led government has given us a mandate and always expects us to be compassionate and provide support and care for the less fortunate,” said Bahula during the handover.
Bahula decided to spent the day with the Tolo family and also donated food parcels.
She said Covid-19 has not made it easy for people living with disabilities economically.
“It is our responsibility as government to intervene and mitigate where we can during these difficult circumstances.”
She urged communities and the private stakeholders to assist and provide support for people who are in similar situations. A visibly teary Tolo thanked the mayor and MLM.
“My life will never be the same again. It will change for the better. May God bless the mayor,” he said.
