Icon aims to empower women, youth

The Pinky Phosa Solution Foundation (PPSF) envisions a society where women and the youth are empowered, leading self-sufficient and sustainable lives.

At a glamorous event at Christie’s at 32 on Russell, local icon Pinky Phosa recently launched her foundation.

The Pinky Phosa Solution Foundation (PPSF) envisions a society where women and the youth are empowered, leading self-sufficient and sustainable lives.

A social worker by training, an accomplished public representative and a community builder, Phosa said, “Together we can make the changes that need to be done and we can do more.”

She said the support she has received and continues to receive has given her hope. “I am so grateful to everyone who showed up.

According to Phosa, the foundation will identify people in the rural areas who need assistance.

“We will help them register their corporation, and train and evaluate them. When it comes to women, we will train them in things such as farming and soft skills such as industrial cleaning and hospitality.

The plan for the youth includes helping them with developing a car wash and gardening.”
