Fatal crash on main road to Limpopo mining belt
One person died and twelve sustained injuries.
A Toyota Quantum and Chevrolet sedan were involved in an accident on the Sekhukhune road (R577) close to Dwarsrivier Mine on Thursday November 10 at 06:10.
One person died on impact. Eight people sustained serious injuries, one critical injuries and three minor injuries.
Emergency services from Mpumalanga and Limpopo, including Thaba Chweu Emergency Services, rushed to the scene.
One of the passengers had to be extracted from the Quantum with hydraulic rescue equipment.
The passengers were transported to Burgersfort and Middelburg hospitals.
