Local is lekker at Perry’s Bridge Farm Market
The best of the Lowveld's homemade arts, crafts and organic foods are available on the last Saturday of every month at this beautiful market.

Some of the Lowveld’s best home-made arts, crafts and delectable organic foods are on offer at the Perry’s Bridge Farm Market (PBFM) at Elephant Whispers on the last Saturday of every month.

The organiser, Chris Dietzen, said, “We usually have around 50 stalls and are looking to attract more quality vendors this year, particularly food ones. We already have a great food selection, including authentic Indian, Portuguese and some delicious local fare.”

The Sabie Brewing Company has a regular spot at the market, as do Crafted Cosmetics, Imani Creations, Earthlings, Pie Boyz and Epa Chilli Sauces and Pastes. The variety and quality of goods on offer and the tranquil, shady setting at the PBFM are sure to surprise and delight visitors from all walks of life.

According to Dietzen, the market started trading at Perry’s Bridge Trading Post in 2016 and showed every sign of becoming the best market in the Lowveld, until the Covid-19 pandemic struck.
Dietzen said, “We moved to Elephant Whispers after Covid, and it has been a tremendously positive step. The venue is stunning. There’s a lot of new interest and our loyal traders from previous years are back in force as well.

“The only trading criteria at our market is that the products need to be handmade. We offer a complete and authentic market experience in a very beautiful venue with plenty of trees and shade.”
Live music performances under the huge old trees complete the vibrant PBFM atmosphere, so do not miss a beat and head out to Elephant Whispers on January 28.
