SPONSORED | Nelspruit Rugby Club aims for dynamic 2025

Nelspruit Rugby Club (NRC) had their 2025 jersey reveal and also announced the committee and sponsors for the season at the club last Thursday night.

Joubert & Seuns will be the club’s main sponsor and have naming rights on the three teams’ stunning new jerseys.

Dawie Wilson retains the position of club president. He will be supported by vice president, Sam Govere.

Wilson welcomed the sponsors to the event. “2025 is going to be a very good year for NRC. We cannot operate without our sponsors and we appreciate all you do. Joubert & Seuns will be NRC’s main sponsor for this year.”

Both directors of Joubert & Seuns had played for Nelspruit Rugby Club in the 1980s and early 90s. “My brother and I played for the club, Francois as prop and myself as wing. Those friends and business contacts we made back in the day definitely helped the company in many ways over the years. The sponsorship was decided on as support to Gawie Marx and Herklaas du Preez’s dedication towards the club. There aren’t many clubs that can claim 100 years of existence,” said Kobus Joubert, one of Joubert & Seuns directors.

Sonpark Shopping Centre has renewed their support of the club and remains the club’s second biggest sponsor Louwtjie Erasmus is the 2025 chairperson and Johan Aspeling the vice chairperson.

After the formalities, the guests enjoyed a sheep on the spit prepared by Marx and his team.
