Tata launches new Xenon

Tata Motors has launched its new generation bakkie range – Tata Xenon XT in South Africa.

The Tata Xenon XT is packed with extra features in all aspects – performance, safety, comfort, style and functionality – it is truly built to take it to the extreme.

The Tata Xenon XT comes with impressive features that give it a competitive edge amongst other lifestyle bakkie options in the South African market.

The Tata Xenon XT range comes in four variants – Single Cab (4X2), Single Cab (4X4), Double Cab (4X2) and Double Cab (4X4). The range has a perfect blend of looks, safety, comfort, convenience and performance thanks to its state of the art European styling.

Included are features like navigation, Bluetooth, dual airbags, ABS, differential lock (double cabs), and limited slip differential (single cabs).

The Tata Xenon XT’s common rail diesel engine delivers high power and torque providing overall performance of an efficient workhorse.

The Xenon XT is an ideal bakkie for segments like family and leisure, farming, mining, construction, small businesses and municipalities. Its excellent off-roading capabilities also make it an ideal vehicle for 4X4 enthusiasts.

It is powered by a new generation 2.2 litre VTT DiCOR (Variable Turbine Technology, Direct Injection Common Rail) engine that is controlled by a 32-bit electronic control unit and incorporates state-of-the-art technology.

This is the same Euro V engine that powers the Xenon range across the world.

This engine has been fine-tuned to meet domestic Euro II requirements. The new engine delivers peak power of 110 kW at 4000 rpm and peak torque of 320 Nm over a wide rpm range of 1 500 to 3 000.

The vertical centralised injector and the variable swirl system together provide good air and fuel mixing that result in complete combustion and outstanding fuel efficiency and low emissions.

This innovative engine technology not only provides the best-in-class performance but is also environment-friendly.

With the Tata Xenon XT one can experience the wild outdoors in the cushioned comfort and safety of the interior. Extra care has been taken to ensure driver and passenger safety with advanced features for both active and passive safety.

It has been designed not only for extreme performance but also to give a comfortable driving experience with low NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness).

With electric windows, power steering, navigation, Bluetooth, radio, MP3, side steps, bucket seats with armrests and tiltable steering column the Tata Xenon XT is like a resort on wheels.

It comes packed with offerings and service initiatives that are better than most of the competition in the market.

With the five-year/90 000

kilometre service plan, four-year/120 000 kilometre vehicle warranty, four-year/120 000 kilometre anti-corrosion warranty and four-year unlimited kilometre roadside assistance, the Tata Xenon XT offers complete peace of mind.
