The minister encouraged the dancer and said everyone had a choice to be whoever they wanted to be.

Environmental Affairs Minister Nomvula Mokonyane has praised and encouraged eyebrow-raising dancer and socialite Zodwa Wabantu.

While at popular Eyadini lounge in Durban, the minister had a message for those who took jabs at the socialite because of her style of dance and dress sense.

In a video, a crying Zodwa Wabantu lauds Mokonyane and adds she had met her inspiration.

Wabantu said she never thought her dream of wanting to meet Mokonyane would ever come true. “My dreams, my dreams are here,” Wabantu said, looking at Mokonyane.

Mokonyane replied by saying she represented every woman. “You are who you are out of your choice and [they] must respect it. Keep it that way.”

The minister highlighted Zodwa’s uniqueness and sealed the heart-to-heart moment with a kiss.
