Inside Swizz Beats and Alicia Keys’ R307 million home
Take a peek inside Swizz Beats and Alicia Keys' dreamy California home, inspired by Tony Stark's Razor House.

An “architectural masterpiece,” and “America’s coolest home”, are just some of the adjectives used to describe Swizz Beats and Alicia Keys’ home.
The original house was designed by Wallace E. Cunningham in La Jolla, California and is now home to the Grammy award-winning couple.
This was revealed in the latest issue of Architectural Digest, where Keys takes centre stage on the cover along with her hubby, real name Kasseem Daoud Dean.
Opening up about their modernist estate which they refer to as “Dreamland”, with an infinity pool overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Swizz explained that he had kept a photo of the house as a screensaver on his phone and was manifesting his dream house.
“When your screensaver comes to life, it’s unbelievably crazy,” he told the magazine. The exterior of the home takes inspiration from Ironman’s abode, known as Razor House.
In a video tour of the mansion, the couple open up about their over 1,000m2 home, which includes a private music studio and over 1,000 artworks by various black artists who the pair describe now as their friends.
The artwork collection, which is displayed throughout the home, boasts works by Kwame Brathwaite and Lauren Pearce.
The interior of the home was designed by Kelly Behun to make the open space more homely and fill it with “soul”. The home is a calming array of beiges, browns and tans, with splashes of colour.

Keys describes the dinning area as an “open space with an open layout, and that the family loves playing board games…”
According to The Robb Report, originally the home was on the market in the US starting at $39 million, and was listed a year later for $30 million, then $24.99 million and eventually sold for $20.8 million to the music duo.

The couple live in the mansion with their two children Genesis and Egypt.
