Party fit for a prince: Pearl Modiadie’s son turns one

Pearl Modiadie's son turned one and the media personality went all out with her former partner Nathaniel Oppenheimer in attendance.

TV presenter and radio host Pearl Modiadie was beaming during her son’s first birthday party this past weekend.

The former Metro FM personality planned a cute “a boho-chic safari experience” for her son Lewatle Oliver, who turned one.

The party was attended by celebs such as Lorna Maseko, Denise Zimba and the child’s father Nathaniel Oppenheimer, as the former couple seems to be doing well with co-parenting.

Modiadie is usually private about her personal life so it came as a surprise for fans to see how much of her son’s birthday party she shared and a picture of his full face. The star usually shares snaps of Lewatle facing backwards.

“Mom and dad love you very much! Happy Birthday baby and thank you for giving us the most fulfilling year of our lives,” her caption read.

Modiadie thanked the events company for executing the brief perfectly.

“Thank you for being part of my son’s 1st celebration [and] making it special. He loves animals [and] balloons so this was such a treat and a wonderful experience for him!”

There were two birthday parties for Lewatle, with the other one held last week – a Disney prince theme.

Thanking her family, she wrote: “It truly takes a village to raise a child and today my little village came through for me in a big way. My sisters Dambuza and Tebo did the decor [and] entertainment, my uncle did the slaughtering, dad spoke to the ancestors, my friend Nombuso took on the role of photographer and nanny. Cousins and aunts took care of catering and umqombothi, a family friend baked the birthday cake and parents brought the kids out to celebrate Lewatle with baby daddy and [me], just perfect!”
