KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) police are searching for two criminals linked to the murders of four people in the province.
The incident happened at a house in Dundee on Friday evening.
It is believed the two gunmen opened fire on two of the victims who were outside their home in the Muzomusha area.
Shooting
Police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said the victims were aged 31 and 35 years old.
“The suspects then proceeded inside the house where there were three people. It is further reported that the suspects demanded money and drugs from a 29-year-old woman.
“A scuffle reportedly ensued between one suspect and the identified woman, which led to her being shot multiple times,” Netshiunda said.
Netshiunda added that the suspects searched her and took an undisclosed amount of money.
“A 14-year-old girl was also shot multiple times and died at the scene. Two victims, a woman who was inside the house and a man who reportedly managed to leave the room after hearing the first gunshot sounds, survived the shooting unscathed.”

Motive
Netshiunda said the motive for the killings is believed to be robbery.
“However, drug-related feuds cannot be ruled out. Police are appealing to anyone who might have information regarding the incident and the whereabouts of the suspects to contact the nearest police station or call the crime stop number 08600 10111.”
CIT robbers killed
Earlier this week, two suspected cash-in-transit (CIT) robbers were killed in a shootout with police in KZN.
The gun battle took place at Wasbank near Ladysmith on Thursday afternoon.
Netshiunda said officers received information about the suspects wanted for a spate of CIT robberies.
“Police were following intelligence about the whereabouts of the suspects who were wanted for at least six cash-in-transit robbery incidents in KwaDukuza, Verulam, Nyoni, Greytown, Phoenix and Langlaagte between June 2022 and March 2025.
“Police identified the house in which the suspects were hiding. When they arrived and introduced themselves, the suspects fired shots at the police officers and a shootout ensued. The two suspects were shot and fatally injured during the shootout,” Netshiunda said.
