Three suspects in court for stealing livestock

Four of the goats were branded and were immediately identified by the lawful owners.


The suspects are due to appear in the Bolobedu Magistrates’ Court in Limpopo after they were arrested for stealing livestock.

Following the arrest of the suspects, 17 goats were recovered at Shawela village in Bolobedu last Thursday, Letaba Herald reported.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said members of the community spotted a white bakkie transporting goats near Shawela village and called the police, who reacted swiftly and arrested three suspects aged 25, 28 and 63.

Four of the goats, which have brand marks, were immediately identified by the lawful owners.

Thirteen of the goats are still unknown.
