Three suspects were arrested following a shootout with police and security officials this afternoon in Greenstone.
Police officials from the SAPS Crime Intelligence, the Gauteng Traffic Saturation Unit and private security companies were following up on information of suspects in the Greenstone area when the shootout took place, Bedfordview Edenvale News reported.
The suspects opened fire when officers attempted to stop them.
All three suspects were arrested, and firearms and a hijacked vehicle were recovered at the scene.
All police units are still on scene.
