Youngsters shine at Future Stars Academy

"We strive to always be the best in everything we do and a big part of that is playing as many games as possible."

Future Stars Academy (FSA) Soccer hosted an exhibition match day against Abraham Kriel Children’s Home on Saturday, 16 March with the aim of improving local football talent in Potch and getting the team ready for the upcoming championships.

“Playing matches is the best way to get the children understanding the game as well as improving at a rapid rate. You can train as much as you want but if you don’t play games and teach the children to execute their skills during a game than it means nothing. It’s all about getting them match, league and tournament ready,” added Future Stars Academy director, Claudio Lucas.

“Yet another reason FSA Soccer is the best in the North West. We pride ourselves in playing as many games as possible in order to benefit the children. We play between 25 – 40 games per year in each age group (4-17) at our academy and this is what separates Future Stars Academy from everyone else,” stated Lucas.

The u.13 A and B team also recently ended in the top 8 during a football tournament in the Free State.
