A whole host of Athletics Central North West (ACNW)  athletes have made it into the Athletics South Africa (ASA) SA team for the 20th Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) African Senior Champion-ships that will take place in Durban from 22-26 June this year. The SA team consists of 96 athletes (52 men and 44 women) and 16 team management members.

The ACNW athletes are  Pieter Conradie (400 m), Caster Semenya (800 m,1500 m), Elroy Gelant (5000 m), Rantso Mokopane (3000 m steeplechase), Kabelo Mohlosi (800 m), Julia du Plessis (high jump), Tshepang Makhete (hammer throw), Stefanie Greyling (hammer throw), Sunette Viljoen, Megan Wilke, Jo-Ane van Dyk (javelin), Willem Coertzen (decathlon) and Bianca Erwee (heptathlon).

Local athletics coach and manager of athletics at PukSport, Terseus Liebenberg, will also form part of the coaching team as throws coach.
