The North West MTB team will be going out guns blazing at the Spur Mountain Bike Series Finals at Bekker School this weekend (5–6 October). This is the showpiece schools’ mountain bike event where the best of the best will compete for top honours. The inter-school final will take place on Friday with the interprovincial final taking place on Saturday.
Gimmies’, Brendan van Eeden and Chanté Payne of Hoërskool Rustenburg will captain the team that includes local Potch riders, Ansuné Fourie (Volkies), Christiaan Smit (Gimmies), Joné van Eeden (Gimmies), Natasha Roets (Gimmies) and Karli Beukes (Ferdies).
