NWU Puk out to keep unbeaten record

After seven rounds of North West Club Premier League action, Impala Precrete and NWU Pukke 1 are battling it out for the top position with the men from Rustenburg just a single point ahead of the talented students. Both sides are still unbeaten and their meeting in Rustenburg this coming weekend will separate the men from the boys with the winner taking the top spot on the log.
NWU Pukke’s bowlers were once again on top form when they cruised to a nine-wicket win against Potch Dorp 2 at the Puk Oval last weekend.
Jon Hinrichsen (1/23) and A.J. Jacobs (2/15) were potent with the new ball for the hosts with Katleho Leokaoke bagging 3/7 with his leg spin.
Pukke will be without a couple of their regular starters like Ruan Haasbroek and Jean Bredenkamp who are on North West Dragons duty. On the batting side, Lourén Steenkamp has been one of the Pukke’s highest run-getters but will also be representing the province. Bradley Lynch, Edrich Lubbe and Henro Janse van Rensburg will now look to make big scores against Impala.
