Some of the country’s elite runners took to the beautiful surroundings of Lovers Lane at the North West University (NWU) this morning (Sunday, 18 October) to start the Potchefstroom leg of the Sanlam Cape Town Virtual Marathon.
Runners are currently busy with a 4.2km loop on campus where they will complete ten laps. Approximately 20 runners are competing with Covid-19 regulations in place.
A group of elite runners are also competing in Cape Town and Pretoria for the main prize.
