Cobras and Warriors face off in elimination battle

The Warriors and the Cobras face off today in a do or die battle in their 2021 Momentum One Day Cup match at Senwes Park. A win for either team will take them into a semi-final spot against the Hollywoodbets Dolphins, while a loss will see them return home empty handed.

The Warriors are currently just above the Cobras by virtue of a better net run rate, with both teams locked on 5 points each.

The Cobras showed that they still have bite when they defeated the Lions by 76 runs yesterday. The main protagonists for the Cape side where the Malan brothers, Pieter and Janneman, as well as pace bowler Nandre Burger and medium pacer, Onye Nyaku who picked up 4/29.

The Warriors are also good value for a semi-final spot with Wihan Lubbe, Jon-Jon Smuts, Matthew Breetzke and Rudi Second in good form. Glenton Stuurman has also impressed with the ball. The match starts at 10:00 today (Saturday, 30 January)
