Proteas and Australia to face off in Potch in September

The last time South Africa played Australia in an ODI in Potch was in 2023. South Africa won that match by 111 runs.

The Proteas will lock horns with Australia in Potchefstroom again in September this year for the first time since 2023. South Africa will face Australia in the third ODI of a three-match series scheduled for Wednesday, September 30 at the JB Marks Oval. This day-night match, starting at 13:30, promises to add another exciting chapter to the SA and Australia rivalry.

Kingsmead Stadium in Durban will host the series opener on September 24 before the teams head to the Wanderers in Johannesburg for the Pink Day fixture on 27 September. The series concludes at the JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom on September 30.

The Proteas will host 8 test matches, 9 ODI’s and 3 T20 Internationals against Australia, Bangladesh and England during the 2026/27 home cricket season.
