The StudyXpress Athletics meeting that took place on Friday, February 27 at Mooivallei was another one for the books with seven private schools from Potch and Klerksdorp battling for supremacy.
Saints Christian School took the victory with 711 points, followed by StudyXpress in second on 525 points and Redwood in third place on 246 points.
What began three years ago as a small opportunity for learners from private schools in Potchefstroom has grown into a much-anticipated annual athletics event.

With events ranging from long-distance runs and sprints to turbo javelin and shotput, every athlete had the chance to showcase their talent.
The atmosphere on the pavilion was electric. Learners cheered not only for their own schools but for competitors from other schools, embodying true sportsmanship. Athletes were seen congratulating and encouraging each other, demonstrating the character-building power of athletics.

If a school’s focus is to nurture character, then events like this athletics day are essential. Providing learners the opportunity to participate, compete, and celebrate together is a cornerstone of developing well-rounded individuals.
