Athletes enjoy cool morning Bult 10km race

Regular favourites took to the field together with runners of all ages for a well-attended community race.

The Bult 10km road race that took place on Saturday morning (23 May) saw 238 athletes take part in chilly winter weather with the aim of winning the top prize or just enjoying a fun community activity.

The race, which NG Kerk Die Bult and ACNW hosted, saw some of the well-known names taking the top spots.

Keano Domingo (NWU) took first place in the men’s race in a time of 30:21. Dino Nako (NWU) took second in 30:51 with Avuma Pheza (NWU) coming third in 31:02.

The women’s 10km race saw sisters, Danielle and Alri Verster take first and third respectively. Danielle came first in a time of 35:52, whilst Alri finished in 37:38. Andrea Steynberg (Potch Track Club) split the siblings taking second in 37:22.
