Saints Christian School took another step towards furthering excellence at the school with the opening of two brand new Futsal courts on the school’s premises.
These futsal courts will provide an opportunity for learners to play soccer and netball on a smaller court to sharpen their skills. It also adds to the aesthetics of the terrain proving a multi-purpose space for learners to sit on the sides during break and after school.

Saints Christian School has been at the forefront of innovation in Potchefstroom and the greater North-West for the past six years. It is no surprise that the school’s leadership headed by Ché Williams (CEO), Ps. Sandy Williams (president), Cathrine Venter (principal) Sunette Smit (vice-principal), Dewald Grobler (vice-principal) and Claudio Lucas (sport director) has invested in this exciting and beneficial project.

“Futsal is a small-sided game of soccer, which was invented in Brazil in the favelas (informal settlements). Saints is the only school in North West with Futsal courts. We don’t have big facilities, wo we have to maximise the space that we have,” said Lucas.

The Futsal and Netball courts were also prayed over and dedicated to Jesus Christ to honour His provision and gratitude.
“This is going to be a space where they can play and enjoy themselves and really get better at soccer and netball in a much smaller area,” added Lucas.
