Everything’s coming up roses for Winkle bowler

The Christmas dinner will be held on 11 December.

CLASINA Powell, a Winklespruit Bowling Club member who is a floral artist, recently won the national floral art demonstrators competition, which was held in Port Elizabeth.

She was one of five finalists with the highest marks in South Africa.

Clasina will represent South Africa at the world flower show in 2017, if SA is invited to do a demonstration.

The green is looking good and bowls should commence very soon. Attendance draw was won by Di Kruger on Friday, 6 November.

Club competitions for 2016 have been placed on the notice board. The Friday evening meal was delicious and was enjoyed by all. Thanks to all who participated and the members support. There will be a meal on Friday, 13 November. All are welcome.

The Christmas dinner will be held on 11 December. The list and menu are on the notice board, indicate as soon as possible if you will be attending or call Trish on 082-483-5875 , so as to advise the caterer how many will be attending.

Just a reminder that affiliation fees of R330 are due.

Congratulations to everyone celebrating their birthdays during the week and a speedy recovery to all those who are not well. Prayers and thoughts are with everyone.
