Investigating officer Sergeant Bhekumuzi Dlamini, from Montclair police station, said the third person involved in the argument left the tavern, but later returned armed with a bush knife.
“A fight broke out again, during which the accused overpowered the man and took the weapon from him. The man fled the tavern, with Dube and Mamba in pursuit,” said Dlamini.
The fleeing individual reportedly sought refuge at his place of employment, where he also resides.
Security guards on duty at the premises pressed a panic button, calling for backup.

They attacked and assaulted him with the bush knife. The guard sustained serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
