Help organisation renovate women’s rehabilitation centre

The non-profit organisation, Children Have a Dream, is appealing for white paint.

THE non-profit organisation, Children Have a Dream (CHAD), is appealing to the public to assist them with paint for their newly acquired premises which will be used as a women’s rehabilitation centre.

Sheldon Francis, the founder of CHAD, said they had to move out of their previous premises at the end of March.

“We are hoping to move into the new premises as soon as possible. However, while it is bigger, safer and has electricity and water, it is an old run-down house and needs to be renovated. It still has a strong foundation and structure, but the exterior and interior need to be painted.

“We are appealing to anyone that can assist us by donating white paint, which we will gladly collect from a home or shop,” he said.

Francis said the centre caters for women in need from all areas, including Newlands East, Sydenham and Wentworth.
He said some of the services offered include spiritual growth, guidance and counselling every day, skills development and leadership training.

“We aim to bring out the talent from within each individual, so they can explore and develop it. We want them to see and know that they have the potential to have a bright future,” he said.

If you would like to assist with paint or any other form of donation, contact Francis on 067 127 0286.
