The starting point for the run was the picturesque Highbury grounds in Wentworth, where participants congregated with eager anticipation. From there, the route led them on a scenic excursion, veering left towards Badulla Drive in Merebank, then tackling the challenging hills of Marine Drive before looping back down Highbury Road for the final leg to the finish line back at Highbury grounds.

With 126 enthusiastic individuals in attendance, the event brimmed with energy and anticipation. Participants spanned from seasoned runners to newcomers, each eager to contribute to the communal spirit of the day.

Reflecting on the event, Louis underscored its broader objectives beyond mere athleticism. “This wasn’t just a run,” he noted. “It was about uniting people, advocating for wellness, backing causes, forging connections and revelling in the collective spirit of our community through the shared pursuit of running.”

Louis put the spotlights on the true stars of the day: the participants themselves. As runners crossed the finish line, a tangible sense of achievement and camaraderie permeated the atmosphere.

Louis expressed the club’s gratitude to all participants who contributed to making the run a success.
