Ex-Pirates star in club search

Former Orlando Pirates and Free State Stars defender Rooi Mahamutsa says he is not ready to retire from football yet and is in search of a club.

Mahamutsa last played for Ea Lla Koto in the Free State outfit’s last season in the Absa Premiership.

The 38-year-old will target the January transfer window to find a new club in the second half of the season.

Mahamutsa has not played competitively since last season and has been on the sidelines in the first half of the 2019/2020 season.

“I have not retired. I am looking to find a team I could join at anytime,” Mahamutsa was quoted by Isolezwe.

“I couldn’t get a team at the start of the season. I am confident that as the transfer window opens in January, I will be signed.

“There are clubs that will be in need of players in the season half of the season.”
