Kaizer Chiefs welcomes back Gordinho

Defender Lorenzo Gordinho has reunited with his Kaizer Chiefs teammates after spending one year on loan with Bloemfontein Celtic.

Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung believes Gordinho is ready to play for Amakhosi after spending one year on loan with Celtic.

Gordinho is a product of the Chiefs youth development and played 66 games for the Soweto giants’ first team before he was loaned out to Celtic.

The centre-back started training with Chiefs on Friday after the Premier Soccer League closed the curtains on 2018 and the first half of the 2018/2019 season.

“Lorenzo comes back at the right time,” Motaung told Chiefs’ website. “because we have a few injuries. He got a lot of game time at Bloemfontein Celtic and, because of that, gained a lot of experience.

“It was a well spend year and we also thank Celtic for giving him the opportunity to play. Lorenzo learnt a lot during the past 12 months, which will help him on his return to the club.”
